The project comprises the demolition of the exisiting school which proved unfeasible to extend and the construction of an eigh classrom primary school to the Dept. of Education model brief.

The constrained nature of the site resulted in a two storey solution encorprating the accomodation in a simple cost effective building envelope.

The site located on the banks of the Garavogue river in Sligo is avisually importatnt location which demanded a sensitive approach to the project design within the context of the budget controls of the project.
